I seem to remember hearing that the SVO MC and pedal were prime candidates for manual brakes. Am I remembering correctly?
I would love to loose the vacuum booster, and I already have manual steering. Yeah... I'm a man's man. I learned to drive on manual drum brakes.
What say ye?

It seems like I've seen a few threads on manual brakes but they mave have been on turboford. Several have done it if I remember correctly.

Thanks for that. I thought I had exhausted TurboFord, but apparently not!

I've still got a MM conversion kit that I need to get rid of. I'll post it up in the for sale section if you are interested to stick with the rules.

About that kit (http://www.maximummotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=677)... Wouldn't I only need the firewall adaptor plate? I've been told that the other components (pedal, etc.) are based off the geometry off the SVO. But I am totally interested... Broke at the moment, but interested.

None of the parts in the MM manual brake kit have anything to do with any brake parts out of an SVO Mustang. All of the parts we have in the kit are needed. Installation of manual brakes results in higher loads in the m/c pushrod and upper portion of the brake pedal. That is why we manufacture our own parts for both of these. They will result in a much firmer brake pedal.
