Power steering fluid type

What fluid is recommended for the power steering system? My service manual says Type F ATF. Is that still correct?

Yep, Ford ATF (type F?).

Type F is getting a bit more difficult to find around here, Castrol in parts stores is the most readily available. I've now gone to using Motorcraft Type F available at my Ford parts house.

Although they might try playing with the names to get you to buy their stuff instead of someone else's, the API rating on the label is the final answer as to the rating.
