I can't figure out why it won't go all the way in. It gets to about an 1/8" away and pivots in the center like the mounting slot is to shallow but its deeper than the stocker so. Can't see in there to tell what its bottoming on. I guess I'll have to bring home some persin blue and see whats what. I have measured it against the stock one and its very similar. Really hard to measure radius contures consistantly. Pics show nothing it looks just fine. If I find out I will let you know. BR

Bruce, I had the exact same problem w/aftermarket lenses I bought a couple years ago. Had to do some some careful grinding to get them to fit without the "pivot" you describe. I don't remember exactly where the contact was, I believe I used some chalk to find it.

I bought new ones from NPD earlier this spring when I repainted my car. They fit really nice, BUT!, I dropped the hood about 4 inches to shut it one morning before going to a show and both lenses popped right off the housings and sat down on the bumper!!
When they glue the lenses to the housings they apply the glue right over top of the chrome plating that is put on to make the lights shine brighter. So I sanded the chrome off around the edge and applied new epoxy to them and have not had any problem since.
I would have called and complained but i figured they are all going to be that way so I just fixed what I had and moved on.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like losing a lens might be pretty easy then. Yea Mike, sarcasm. I only wish I was that strong!

Bruce,

Glad to hear it popped in I was starting to feel guilty reading the thread, even though I never touched it and know plenty of guys using them.
