ok i want to do a fmic with stock turbo with boost bumped up to 18psi on an 86 what should i use single piston or dual? i want to use one of the ones stinger sells so i can get fmis and bov from same place

if you're still using the stock VAM, you should go with a bypass valve rather then a blowoff valve. single piston is fine; i use a bosch style single piston with stinger FMIC kit and it works just fine at 22psi.

The dual piston version is designed for metered air systems (VAM, MAF) so you can either run the dual piston version (if you want to BOV noise) or a bypass valve if you want it to be quiet.
