Ziebart Lifetime Warranty

My SVO was originally purchased new in '86 by my parents. Technically the title is my name and I'm the second owner. Talking to them this morning they mentioned the car had a lifetime Ziebart warranty against rust and that I should dig through the files to find the paperwok. There are two small rust spots on the lower part of the doors and along the bottom of the doors - could something like a Ziebart warranty from 1986 actually cover the repair? That would be quite interesting...

It would depend upon the verbiage of the warranty but I'd guess it would. Provided the warranty is transferrable.

Yeah - the transferable part is certainly going to be a killer if it's the deal breaker. Likely should have also kept it in my parents name so it's a true "original owner".
