Bought my 84 SVO this fall and replaced the gas tank to have it running good, placed a new set of wheels on it and parked it for the winter in my driveway. Well this car was originally planned to be my winter driver and such...but I ended up using my dads jeep up until I got back from college. So it's been about 2 months of the SVO just sitting in the driveway with MANY days of 10 degrees or less. As well as cold weather, we have received about 20 inches of snow in the past 3 weeks so my SVO was BURIED! Well yesterday me and my dad decided we should prob get it moving...well I haven't had a car just START after sitting for a while so I was being a skeptic. Especially because we are taking it to get exhaust this weekend, and God knows the car HAS to stall or not start, right when you need it...Well this car is incredibly reliable guys!!! That's right, I sat down, brushed some icicles off of the dash, turned the key for one or two turn overs and BANG! Those 4 cylinders blew some nasty smelling exhaust for a second, then purred as well as my 84 GT does! So if you guys are trying to buy these cars for a winter car, they do well in the snow and such just be careful, they don't like hitting ice patches :P

Hope you enjoyed this ridiculous and partially pointless story :P but there's an update from the Black SVO in Watertown that has been through so much in the past 4 months...

The one time it got icey here,I disliked having boost come on and that feeling of omg is this going to break the tires loose.

... having boost come on and that feeling of omg is this going to break the tires loose. In the dry, that's the FUN part!!

umm...something off an eclipse I believe...Tenzo R's is the brand I think and we had to cut the front rotor a bit so they would go on around the dust cap...they look pretty nice, but it's impossible to tell if they are flat or not and the ride on this thing is so stiff, it's scary lol. We don't know what the shocks are set at but we're thinking they are pretty darn stiff and it's not just the tires

For some reason people equate really stiff with high performance. Dumb.

Check to see if the shocks have been turned to full stiff.

Ah yes, now they look familiar, I had a set of them on my Eclipse matter of fact.

Nice car :)

Our cars are no fun on Ice, I did a full 360 on a 2 lane bridge doing 55-60 MPH a few months ago, luckily I didnt hit anything and that was pure luck, I had no control no matter what I tried.
Luckily I didnt hit anything but I know since its my year round DD its really only a matter of time :(
