Carpet Question

I'm starting a refresh on my 85.5 SVO. After I pulled out the rear seat, under the carpet at the right rear seat, is this tag:

The label says: Collins & Aikman, Made in Canada, E47B 6113000 B24PD 5078





I'm trying to see if this is factory carpet. The car has a "funky" smell because the car was sitting in a damp drive under garage for a couple years before I bought it.
Here is how I found the car:

If this is original, I will work a little harder to save it.

My plan is to repaint the car, freshen the engine bay, and rebuild the trans over this winter, and have it at Ford Nationals at Carlisle in June.

I take my old carpet to the car wash and give it a good one with the pressure washer. Then hang it out to dry for a couple of days. Usually works out good if the carpet is in good shape. This works better in the summer though. By the way with the Ford part number it looks original. Ford has alot of stuff made in Canada.

Thank you all. I will pull the carpet this weekend, and when the warmer weather comes I will give it a good bath with the pressure washer, and then go over it again with the carpet cleaner.

D My car had the same tag on the orig. carpet in my 86. I replaced it with an ACC carpet (under $200). It fit perfect however the SVO grey was off from the orig. factory color. It was darker. The weight of the batting was also slightly lighter too. I found my orig. carpet getting wet because there were a few rubber plugs missing, especially the one on the passenger side rear bulkhead by the back seat. So buy a rubber plug kit from NPD or Late model restoration etc. Hope that helps?

I contacted the company , to see if they can supply carpet to our cars , I left a Email and my contact info I will wait to what reply I get back , they still make moulded carpet to today for auto's They are still in business .

I ordered a bunch of Grey carpet samples from stockinterior.com, and the 8078 matches the SVO trim/dash/console perfectly. I don't have the original grey carpet so I couldn't match it to the carpet.

I bought my SVO carpet from either foxmustangrestoration.com or latemodelrestoration.com (both carry ACC carpet), 3 or 4 years ago. The carpet under the hatch has faded and is falling apart. I'm going to try the stockinterior carpet for my "other" car.


FYI: ACC bought Auto Carpet Systems in 2007.

I can also tell you that I bought the ACC carpet. It was green when I took it out of the box.
