Valve Seal replacement with motor out of the car

I have read the article on turboford on how to replace the valve seals. I have all the stuff I need to do the job. Here's my question. I have the motor out of the car. Is it possible to perform this procedure with the motor out of the car? I'm concerned that without the trans/parking brake, that when the cylinder at TDC, when I apply the air pressure to the cylinder, the pressure is going to force the cylinder down and/or spin the motor? Seems like the job would be easier with the room to work, but for this issue.....

If the piston/crank is anywhere near actual TDC, there is no rotational force on the crank - just straight downward pressure. Move the crank to where you think TDC is, apply pressure and if it doesn't move, you're good to go. If it moves, let it move all the way to BDC and note which cylinder you just pushed to BTC and do an opposite cylinder. 1 & 4 are up while 2 & 3 are down.

And while one set of pistons is down, mark the crank pulley with some white touch-up paint to mark where TDC is for the other two pistons.

i have use air to change the seals many times and never had a problem i just crank it up to about 120 psi and do it
