So after tightening down the probably stock cork valve cover gasket I ended up creating quite the oil leak..
New rubber gasket (awesome btw) and a can of wrinkle paint later ive got a small sunday project.
Pic related to misleading title ;)

It may take some practice to get the cork gaskets tightened properly. Slow and even. And not more than 70 Inch-Lbs. That's my preferred gasket, btw.

I prefer the late Ranger steel incased in rubber gasket. I've used it over and over again without any leakage. But, it is quite a bit more expensive than the cork.

What Bob said. I need to buy a couple more, I keep giving them away to people:):)

"BAN HAMMER" is back in the show.

You are all banned until your next post for having oil leaks.

But MY SVO doesn't leak oil.

While the EVO did have a recent oil leak that resulted in an expensive, catastrophic failure. And a brief moment of excitement.

My SVO only leaks a little oil, none of it crash related!!!

I have only about 1200'ish miles since I rebuilt it and theres no oil leak so far. I must have used enough silicone when putting the oil pan on.

I do have the felpro w/ metal inserts. i was worried i tightened it down too much because it squished a little but it should be just fine :) The new paint job looks x10 better than the chipping wrinkle paint that was on it.
