The car came without them and several other pieces I'm finding out. Can someone please give me the dimensions. I looked on line and it looks like it might be a m10x1.5(45mm) for two of them and a little longer same dimension bolt as well. Is this correct or even ballpark? I also found I'm missing one of the ac hoses, the one that runs from the compressor to the condenser. A pic of that hose or tube would be welcome as well. This may be the last time I buy a car that is not running or atleast completely assembled.

Other peoples projects suck.. a year after i got mine, supposedly with a "rebuilt" engine im having to pull the engine and replace pretty much everything that shouldn't of failed.

are the 5.0 bolts the same? http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/HDW-11002A/1979-95-Mustang-50L-Starter-Bolts

The starter motor bolts are 8x1.25mm. The other bellhousing bolts (to block) are 10x1.5. Iirc they're just past an inch long, say 30mm, with a captive washer & 13mm hex head.

So all three bolts are the same, 8 X 1.25 (30mm). Thanks Mike.

Yes, all three are same. Not sure about length though but we can easily calculate that.

The flange (ears on the motor housing) is about 8mm thick, iirc (measure it) and a lock washer is approx. 3mm thick. The block-to-bell shim is about 1.5mm thick, And we want at least 2x thread diameter for thread engagement into the bellhousing holes. So that's another 16mm.

That comes to 8 + 3 + 1.5 + 16 = 28.5mm. 30mm sounds about right. Grab a set of three 25mm ones just as spares.

Ok. Thanks again.

The M8 bolts are way too small. The 3/8-16 is the correct size.

What bellhousing are you using??

Stock pre world class T-5 as far as I can tell. Car looks to completely stock down to original am/fm radio.
The M8 bolts slid in the holes without even touching the sides, unless I'm bolting it up wrong.
It looks like it only fits one way and the 3/8-16 threads in fine.

Ok so the 3/8-16 isn't correct either. They will go in and sort of work but are not exact, they bind up about halfway in.
The correct size for my car is the M10x1.5 that I thought they were. Just for future reference.

OK, finally had a moment this weekend to dig out a spare bell housing and document all the holes in it.

There are (5) 12x1.75mm threaded holes on the rear face. Four that mount the gearbox and one inside that mounts the clutch fork pivot shaft/bolt thingie.

On the front side the top two holes are through holes and the bolts come from the rear (gearbox side, on top) to the top of the block. 10x1.5mm holes in top, rear of block. Note that one of those bolts gets the firewall-to-block ground cable.

On the front(engine) side all the threaded holes are 10x1.5mm. Two of them are stepped (counterbored) for the block dowels to position the bell housing. Four bolts go through the holes in the block and thread into the bell (all 10x1.5mm). Iirc, the 6 bell-to-block bolts are same length.

There is one 10x1.5mm hole near the clutch cable hole that only holds the thin backing plate form vibrating.

There are three starter motor bolts that are all 10x1.5mm. Iirc all of the starter motor and bell-to-block bolts are a 13mm hex head (factory bolts) and the extra one near the clutch cable hole is a 17mm hex on my red car (forgot what it was originally!).
