Cooling fan switch

Am wondering if the fan control switch is not mounted in the intake on the outer side , and does it have one pin or two pin , am confused the new replacement has two pins where I have a 1 pin in the intake. , The jobber says the two pin is what it calls for. does someone have picture of its location and what the switch looks like, Thanks my car is a 85 .

I don't know where things are on the inline but as far as pins I believe single pin is gauge and double pin is fan but I could be way wrong :)

The 85 should be a single pin. I believe you received an 86 switch.
