Is it really necessary? If so what is the best location for it. I have an E6manifold with a stock T3 turbo. I have a full 3" turbo back system from stinger. I'm guessing it's needed I'm just not sure on the placement. I was thinking of placing it close to where the factory cat was, it's no longer there. Will this work or do I need it closer to the turbo? Maybe it should be in the down pipe itself? Any words of wisdom before I get out the cutoff wheel and welder.

Necessary? Depends on lots of other factors. But highly recommended.

It should go between the engine attachment (turbo outlet) and the first exhaust support brace on the chassis. And should be in the direction of engine motion.
