I am new here and I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I was driving my 86 SVO and it started to loose power, would not idle and smoke was coming from the exhaust. I took the PCV out and the idle was better but light smoke was coming out of the tube where the PCV goes in. With the PCV in the car idles ruff and white smoke is coming out the tail pipes. What could be the problem. I search it and some said it could be the turbo, how can I tell for sure. Any help with my problem would be great, thanks Victor

I have a 86 SVO with a front mount I/C, gutted upper and lower intakes, 65mm TB and the rest is stock. I have just over 100K on the motor and stock Turbo.l

You have a blown head gasket or cracked head. White smoke is water, Blue smoke is oil, black smoke is fuel.

Yup.

Check your engine oil - very likely it had coolant/water in it now.

It's the turbo, I took the inter cooler pipes off and oil was in there. I checked the turbine on the turbo and I have a 1/2 inch of in and out play. I am going to call Evergreen turbo for a rebuild.
