Boost signal hose length

I vagley remember there is a length specified for the boost signal hose, anybody know what it is? I am putting on a differant controller (getting rid of the fish tank bleeder) and want to know how much flexability I have for locating it.

i'm not sure there is a maximum, but the shorter, the better.

15 1/2 inches for each hose.

That sounds like more than I would have thought!! Here is the controller I have. Is that total for each? So if this is the case then I can put it on the shock tower easily!

OK I have a new turbo and it doesn't have the port for boost signal. I am more than capable of drilling and tapping it but was considering pulling from the over boost buzzer line. Do you think this is to far from the turbo? I think this would look a lot cleaner.

For boost control, you want the pressure signal to be the actual compressor pressure - from the compressor outlet - not after charge cooling, which will always be lower and later to get there.

For boost gauges, the signal should be what the engine sees - from the intake manifold, which is after charge cooling.
