My oil pan started leaking in two spots. My initial thought was I boosted the crankcase. The stock boost gauge shows around 16lbs and the overboost warning has never gone off on me.

I checked the PCV. It seemed to be fine but replaced it anyway. I also checked to make sure my pan bolts were not loose. Is there anything else I should check? Can the PCV hose have a restriction? As far as I know, it's the original gasket with 121K on it.

I read the pan gasket replacement procedure that Stinger posted. Was thinking it might be less fustrating pulling the motor to replace? Any thoughts appreciated.

thanks
jack

If you pull the gearbox and bellhousing, you can easily R&R the engine oil pan without pulling the engine. Once the bellhousing is out, it slides to the rear.

Of course you'll want to give it some time to stop dripping before cralling under there. Wear goggles! I, personally, don't care for oil in the eyes.

Thanks Mike. Is there anything else I should/can check with the evac system?
