Drip rail chaulk?

Hi,

When I removed the drip rails (on the body above the doors) the chaulk-like substance was as dry as straw. Anyone know where to get replacements?

Also, anyone know how many clips there were on the rail when attaching to the room and relative positions? I think there were two originally and I forgot to mark their original locations.

Bump?

Found one of my original rails so I know there are 5 clips (and I took pictures of placement that I'll upload later).

But no luck on what the sticky stuff is. On the original it was still sticky 29 years later, so I really have no idea what it is.

I think it's just a butyl sealer, similar to what is used on the 1/4 windows. You should be able to get it at an auto parts store or an auto paint supply store.
