Ok This is SHAFT. I am not a Mustang guru and the clutch assy seems simple but? Ok, new clutch and flywheel and Maxim Motorsports firewall adjuster. Everything else is stock. Problem the clutch engages less than an inch (by feel didn't measure) off the floor boards. I would like it to engage higher up. Please help???? Ever greatful :mad:SHAFT

I've got the same issue only I have a stock setup. Been this way since new in 1986.

stock quadrant?

i feel like if you have a firewall adjuster...... you should be able to adjust the clutch pickup point. i also like mine high, and i'm able to get that engagement level with my setup.

Lifting up on the stock clutch pedal that still uses the original quadrant will reset it by disengaging the tang and allow you to push down on the pedal and start over with a new readjustment. Try that and see if it works.

Since you've already reset the quadrant, all you need to do is adjust the firewall adjuster. This will change where the clutch engages.
