It should have a buzzer located under the dash on the driver side to the right of the steering column.

There is not a seat belt chime, just a warning indicator on the dash.

There is not a seat belt chime or warning indicator.OK, then what does the 2-wire harness to the driver seat belt latch do? Maybe it lights up the "Fasten seat belts" light on the dash (above the Oil/EGO light)?

There is most certainly a seat belt chime (or buzzer). I get in my car, and if I don't put on my seat belt before key-on, it will buzz for about 8 seconds. I put my seat belt on before key-on, and no buzzer.

i think they're both behind the passenger side of the dash. if you take out your glovebox (just two screws onto the hinge) you should easily be able to access them.

Mine too

On my 86, which is low mile & untouched, I only have one buzzer. It only buzzes when the key is in the ignition & the door is opened (I only tested the driver door). Clicking the seatbelt does nothing to stop the buzzer or prevent the buzzer. It did not matter if the seatbelt was clicked prior to inserting the key, the buzzer was still buzzing as long as the door was opened & the key fully inserted in the ignition.

The seat belt buzzer only works if the ignition is on. The key buzzer announces itself if anything depresses the lock switch, no matter that position the ignition switch is in, if the drivers door is opened (more accurately when the drivers door switch is electrically closed). The passenger door switch has two wires; drivers side three.
