Starter relay

Does the starter relay generally fail completely or can they die with intermittent failure? Got gas the other day and my car acted like the battery was dead...click, click. Turned it on and off a few times and then it started normally. Hasn't repeated yet since?

Could be:
-a loose connection (Pos or Neg) at the battery
-a loose connection at the solenoid
-a loose connection at the starter
-failing solenoid
-failing ignition switch

Thats the list I was thinking of. Gonna do the serpentine conversion so I'll check connections then.

also remember to check all of your ground connections in the engine bay.
