For those of you who have installed an wideband O2 sensor, how did you route the cabling to the inside of the car? A new hole with grommet? Through an existing opening? Which one?

I installed mine over the gearbox, up over the bellhousing, then up towards the left side of the cowl/firewall. Fed it trhough na existing grommet for the hood release cable, iirc. Of course I don;t have a hood release cable installed.

Alternately there's a real easy access through the tunnel where the "reverse backup lamp/neutral drive" wiring harness goes. This requires at removing some of the floor carpet for access.

Route the small end through the holes and not the large one that connects to the sensor. Mine had the large oval BOSCH connector on one end and a RJ45 on the other. So the RJ45 got fed through the holes. Then tie-warp to keep off ground and away from assorted hot or moving parts.

There's LOTS of extra length of that cable. Iirc I have a coil of several feet bundled behind the console.
