I am thinking of ordering this. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Ford/Mustang/Coverlay/Dash_Cover/1984/SVO/4_Cyl_2-dot-3L/CVL12105GR.html
Anyone know if they are okay, its not a NOS show car.
Should I order gray, or neutral and then paint it??

This is not the complete cover, its just a thin plastic cap. I understand they fit ok but don't hold up well when its gets hot. But then again its gets hotter here in TX than Ontario

Yes I understand thats its a cover. From following discussions here I think the repo dash pads are not that great so this would be a compromise for now. The car is garaged so it does spend extended times in the hot sun. About 20 yrs or so ago I put a cover on my 70 Mach 1 dash and it was 'okay'.

i'm very happy with mine.
i'd recommend this one: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/LRS-04282P-A/79-86-Mustang-Black-Plastic-Dash-Cover and paint it the correct SVO color with the spray paint you can get on that same site.
it will end up looking better than pretty much anything short of an OEM dash pad replacement, as the aftermarket ones are utter crap.
