I am upgrading my 84 SVO to an LA3 and brown tops but I am having trouble installing the Kirban 5005 on my fuel rail. Do I need a different AFPR or do I need a later fuel rail? Any help would be appreciated.

So why are you replacing the FPR? Was there something wrong with it? Changing too many items at once will make it difficult to track down all the problems you are going to introduce.

The mounting base looks the same to me. What is the install problem?

Is it interefring on one of the triangle sides [thay should be flat] with the "hump" on the new one? File it flat. Be sure to keep the filings out of the innards.

Firstly, thanks for the extremely quick replys, love this site,
@Meotchh, just doing the typical LA3 upgrade which, from what I've read, benefits from an afpr.
@MikeFleming, this is the newest model Kirban 5005, and that is exactly what is happening, the hump on the Kirban is interfering with the install. So I just wanted to make sure I had the right model Kirban and to know which part I should modify, if possible. Thanks again Mike, for the info and quick response!

I've heard of people that had to do some filing to make those fit. That must be what they were referring to.

Just to close this thread, a few minutes of filing and the Kirban fit fine.
