Upon removal of the intercooler, I found a ground strap attached to the passenger side firewall near the #4 spark plug. The non firewall end was dangling, where does it attach? :runningdog:

On non-comp-prep models, it attaches to the upper, right (passenger side for USDM) bell housing bolt. On comp prep models that Patrick and I have inspected, it attaches to the upper left bell housing bolt.

Id assume that the upper left would would work just as well on your non-comp-prep .

Id assume that the upper left would would work just as well on your non-comp-prep .it doesn't look like it will reach. How about the intercooler mount bolt?

The thread size is a 10x1.5. and the bolt is maybe 40-45mm long (don't have one handy). The stock ones use a washered 13mm hex head while all hardware store bolts in that thread size will probably come with a 17mm hex head. Take one of the other five bolts out and take it with your to the hdwr store. Iirc all six are same.

Someday when I have some free time I will look up the exact bolt spec and Ford service part number in the catalog. But that's not gonna happen today.

BTW The ground strap when attached to the bell housing cured many electrical issues including the intermittent radio.
