Anyone else have trouble with the upper bi-wing popping out? The two screws (One for each side of the upper wing) appeared to be replacements, so I bought the SVO bi-wing screw kit from NPD. I took the upper spoiler off and saw that it appears the threads in the wing had been complety stripped, but also where the screws go into the hatch, there is nothing for them to bite into, just an empty hole.

Mine is the same. The holes need to be tapped down gently, or you need to fill them and tap them. A support under the upper wing will help it from happening again or getting worse.

are you talking about filling the holes in the hatch and tapping them or filling the holes in the wing itself and tapping?

Ther are no "threads" in the rear deck for the upper wing. Just holes for sheet metal screws. Any significant load on those holes will deform the thin metal.

Go to harbor freight and buy a thread repair kit. Drill the hole for a machine screw insert and put it in. Was pretty cheep and it works so much better! Then buy some stainless screws and it'll look good and stay on.

looking at this thread again, you say there are 2 screws on each side............. the 2 screws are on each side that is true but there is also a stud in the middle of the upper wing that goes through a hole in the hatch and is bolted on the backside of the hatch. those 2 studs are the main support for the upper wing and are the first to get broken out of the wing if there is any rust on the nut and stud
