Filler neck seal?

Is it possible to replace the filler neck seal without dropping the fuel tank?

Got it done in under an hour. Had to drop the tank as Mike said. I bet the other half is in my tank?5591

There was a puddle under the car. I thought that when I returned it might be toast? Does anyone have pics of the screws that hold the filler neck in under the gas cap, mine are missing?

Iirc they're a hex head, captive washer molded into hex head, sheet-metal type.

I tried searching my vast pic collection but Windows 7 search features really SUCK compared to W2K/XP search over the same file listings. So none for you today.

Looks to be something like 1/4", sheetmetal type.
