I went to a show today and was told my p.s. fog light was out.
Sure enough it is.
It doesnt seem like these bulbs last very long. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me??
Also, I havent looked yet, but is there an led replacement for that bulb or are we stuck with a normal halogen bulb???

I eff'n hate the Marchal fog lights. The bulbs never last for me either. Fog light covers are the best in my opinion.
BTW - nice seeing you yesterday, at least for a minute while you checked out what I had on the trailer..... :)

The way Ford mounted those lamps in the front leaves a lot to be desired. LOTS of chassis vibrations transfer directly into the lamps and large dips in the road can break the lenses, along with hot, brittle bulb filaments. It would be nice to shock-mount the lamps - may be a challenge to keep the lamps in the stock openings though.
If you can stand the non-stock looks of them, look at the newer round LED lamp setups. They work much better in high vibration environments. But, alas, they're not original looking.

Looks like a serious project. What year is it, and does it run????
It is always nice when I can see another SVO(or two in this case).

It's an 86 9L. Used to run before the car was disassembled.... Current and prior pics attached.

Any recommendations Mike? Haven't tried any. My fog lamp holes are filled with air scoops that feed the front brake rotors on my SVO. Butr I have seen lots of reasonably-priced Halogen and LED fog/driving lamps at parts stores. I would htink hte LEds should do much better with heavy vibrations that a filament type.
