Rack and Pinion unit stamp - Factory?

I was cleaning up my rack and pinion unit for rebuild and uncovered this stamp which looks factory; has anybody else seen it? I've not seen it on any of my other SVOs. It is a factory correct unit as it has the correct SPR-CW stamp.

The rack that came out of my 86 2R BWD had that stamp on it. I've also got pics of a couple of very low mileage cars where that stamp is clearly visible.

You should take a pic with a ruler next to it so it can be scaled for reproduction the concours anoraks amongst us:):):)

My 86 has the stamp. Maybe all the grime & grease that covered my engine bay preserved it ?.....LOL

I got back my steering rack from the rebuilder last week and the stamp is intact. Let me know what information you guys want.

Dave, take a close hi-res pic of the stamp with a tape measure next to it for scaling purposes. I can send that to my stamp maker as a reference.
