Re-skinned dashpad

I recently re-skinned my dash pad and painted it the SVO color. What product would be safe to clean/protect the newly painted surface?

I put on a dash cover from LMR and painted it to match with their SVO colored paint.

That is much nicer than I anticipate.

Since I have a couple pads that look like your pre-skinned example, this may be the path to success.

I was very pleased with the results for the cost (>$100) but my initial question is: I used the interior paint to match SVO interior to paint the skin. Now what product can I use to clean/protect the new finish?

Damp cloth with water to clean, dry cloth afterwards.

Nothing else is needed or desired.

Be fore warned, if you live in Texas like I do or Arizona like Mike does you will probably notice that it will warp.

The dash I posted above was from my 85' LX which I bought from AZ, the dash cover was already warped and making squeeking noises on the wind shield, so when I did the heater core and had the dash pad off I re-glued it with the pics you see above.

BTW, there is one in my SVO and it is also warped.

I prefer the replacement dash pad, have had several and really like it a lot better, more so in fact I will probably take is out of my 85' GT and stick it in my SVO.

X2 on that. I went with the complete new dash from LMR in Charcoal.

I guess that's a hazard of living in the land of eternal summer. I had one on my 1970 Mach for years and warping never was an issue.

My definition of cold is -25 C (-13F) which we get in the winter. Not those terrible Tucson days of 32 F. I've had to have my truck heater on high with the fan cranked to stay warm wearing a parka some winters.

We see single-digit (F) temps a few days every year. Causes most folks to add socks before putting on their sandals. And the rattle snakes hide in their holes.
