I just bought a good digital code reader and did a test on it for first time its giving a code 63 , the manual that came with code reader says its the throttle position (TP) circuit fault below minimum voltage does this sound right ? it has little lumpy idle , good throttle responce , starts right up quickly

That essentially means that at some undefined time since the codes were last cleared, the TPS has been under the value the EEC is coded to think is too low. Depends on which EEC as to what value it's expecting. Depending on what section the KOEO was in, it does not mean it's a current existing condition.

Set it to show less than 0.90 closed and greater than 4.5VDC at WOT. You won;t get any errors with those values.

Adjust it, clear all codes, test again.

Ok Mike I guess I jumped the the gun , I went back and checked the code reader there is more codes 63 53 81 82 83 , in short what do you think I need to replace.

53 indicates that TPS input is too high. So it's observing too high AND too low.

Verify/repair the wiring first - the section that sticks out from trhe firewall tray to the TS plug on th end. very common for the insulation to flake off there, Trace the wires (three of them) back a foot or so into the wiring tray area to inspect.

After you've verified/repaired the wiring, replace and set the TPS itself.

81, 82, & 83. are specific to the LA/LB series (so you're replaced the SVO EEC with a TC EEC). This means the EEC was not abl;e to detect the electrical functionality of some solenoids that the SVO does not have. You can safely ignore these. If they bother you, iirc, you can add ~60 Ohm resistors to the appropriate EEC pins (to switched 12VDC power). Then it shouldn't flag those things as missing.

Ok thanks mike the other code don't bother just want to smooth out idle . So am looking for bare wires to the TP
