To my amazement there were 3 Svo's at the event. An 84 silver, an 86 canyon red and an 86 red comp prep belonging to bluemax. The Other owners could not be found?

Well that had to be one of the hottest shows that I have ever been to. How hot was it? It was so hot the show basically ended on Saturday when they said that if you have been judged you can take your car back to the hotel... that was a first for a Grand National event.

586 plus cars in attendance, quite a few fox bodies (including the three SVO's). Unfortunately what time I did spend on the show field, out in the heat, was cleaning and detailing on the car, so I didn't take the first picture... nice to have met you in person stockman, let me know if I can be of any help!

Not sure how the 2A car did in "occassional driven", but the '84 received a silver in "concours driven trailered"... based on what I saw, the 2A should enter concours driven next time.

The silver had a nice interior but was lacking under the hood. Your car was in extremely fine condition! I decided to show my car on the 15th but have no idea how to prep it?

I dont want one but I respect them for what they are, because if it wasnt for them we may not have anything newer than that as far as Mustangs go.
And remember they couldnt have been all bad since there were a few million of them sold.
So I take it is hot down there then????

You have to remember the context of the Mustang II. For the time, it was about the highest performer you could get, especially the Cobra. I had a friend buy one new and there was nothing else close. People shit on the II all the time, but it filled the gap and kept the line going. I'd buy one.

Hey Blue, not to sound nit-picky, and I'll buy you a beer if an MCA judge ever picks it, but the push pin for the hood pad next to the three nuts for the scoop is incorrect. That hole is actually a drain hole for the scoop area and is supposed to be empty.

HA! I agree, although the 2A pictured is not my car... it is very nice. He was in occassionally driven class, not sure how he did, but I bet he would have gotten Gold in Concours Driven. The judging just isn't near as tight as it is on the early cars ('65-73).

Problem solved.

I received a Gold. I am half way to my grill medallian, but I still plan to detail the under carriage this Winter for next year. The car is nice, but could be a lot better. ;)

Concours Driven Trailered, basically same rules as Concours Driven. I am not going to drive this car 7 1/2 hrs with no AC or radio! LOL

We drove for almost ten hours from PA to Indy in August without working a/c. Radio worked but it sucked having to find a new station all the time.

My original radio to the car has a tape deck built in Ford premium sound .
