Water/meth injection

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? Or have used a system they liked? I'm taking an SVO to Alaska where they sell only 90 octane, and the car is tuned on 93. :runningdog:

I have a set up on my car. Plumbed in the tb just before the throttle blade with an M10 nozzle. Its very difficult to tune with in these cars. You have to find the ideal pump speed and trigger point or it will bog acceleration. I can tell you that once my pump trigger got stuck open at idle and my upper intake started forming ice! I have used alky kits on most of my turbo cars, but they were all automatics. Set the pump to start sparaying right at the point of detonation (17-20 psi). I could run 30+ psi on my other car without a lick of knock.

Probably be better to just mix race fuel?

Or tune for 90 octane. That would be easier.

Use race fuel and turn up the wick when driving with forceful meaning :)

It looks like this system only has two settings. There shouldn't be too much tuning to it? Even if you have it at the lowest setting it would be safe to run off of 90 octane to compensate for the lost 93 right? http://www.aemelectronics.com/1-gallon-water-methanol-injection-kit-691

Only get a kit from alkycontrolsystems. Julio is the owner and has systems based off of a map sensor and they are progressive. He has been in the game forever. Snows sucks, cooling mist sucks, Julio's support is second to none.

i've had good luck with the AEM system, i like it.

you can configure the trigger point and the max spray point, and it comes with 3 different size nozzles.

not really sure how it behaves on a stock ECU though.
