BOV options?

Hey guys,

still new to the turbo engines and I'm wondering if there's criteria for BOV's?

I'm looking at buying this one for $50

idk if it'll fit on my stock Turbo or how these work/operate? Would this give me power? Is it worth it? Reliability?

The better option for a close to stock setup is to run the Bosch style bypass valve instead of a BOV. Neither gives you more power but they will help reduce air pressure against the turbo vanes when the throttle is lifted which in turn helps by not slowing the turbo down as much between shifts which translates to less spool up time.

If you want to run a BOV, which sounds really cool btw, you need the dual piston type. I ran a simple single piston that leaked at an idle, and caused a rich condition on shifting.

If you have the stock intercooler you can get away with the T type coupler and not have to botch up your intercooler like i did.
