'Stock' may not be spoken here much ;) but my suspension plan (I think) for my tired ,98,000m '84 is to refresh it to original or at least close to original. I'm thinking get it to stock for a base line, then add the goodies later if I feel I want to improve.
Many years ago I thought I had springs picked out but can't remember if they were FMS B, C or H&R. I've been doing a lot of research and also saw Eaton springs and lots of info on spring rates. I wouldn't mind lowering the stance a tad but don't want to get into all kinds of mods to to so.
Should I plan on replacing the onion heads? I've read that they really don't wear out but don't want to be foolish using old parts on new struts if that's a bad idea.
I will be getting new red Koni's and already have Fatman LCA's (I said close to original :p) and the rack was replaced a little while back. I need a new rag joint and for now I'll just use the Dorman quick fix.
Any thoughts or suggestions before I start ordering parts?
(I'm thinking I should have posted this under the Projects topic, if that is where it belongs, feel free to move it, ban me and we'll go from there. :D)
