Are these correct? They look a little too long ? Stock looks like about 1" max above the flange

Stock studs are 43 and 48mm long. The "later" support brace as installed on the 87/88 TC used two longer studs in the bottom two holes (at 48mm).

Longer studs are more better than shorter ones. A bench grinder can become your best friend.

Your talking about overall length right? 43MM = 1 & 11/16th. The ones on e bay are way longer, the stud sticks up about 1.5" above the flange. No way that would clear the ebbow housing. The stock studs measure right at 1" above the flange.

Yes, total length end-to-end. Iirc the 48mm ones would contact something in the upper holes, or be VERY close and have proper room in the lower holes. But I've slept since then - would need to review pictures.

Correct, the end of 43's in the upper holes are only a 1/8 or so from the down elbow. anything longer will foul.
So the big question is...were can I get these in the 43/48 OAL Can't seem to find any listings for the OEM part numbers

I think I got mine from MSC industrial supply. Stainless as I recall. I got the longer ones and cut/ground them down.

Guess I will have to do the same as no one has anything like these in the high heat material. I had a reply from one specialty house (Kelko Products Company) that will make them but need min of 10pc at $22 each or 100 pc @ 2.75 each.

Sure, I retired from there, but not a chance of getting anything that way these days.

I bought some of the short ones from Caterpillar. They weren't cheap! Never used them though so can't attest to the durability.

Go to your local Cummins dealer, ask for a set of turbo flange studs. Cut to length.

Oh, and while there, get a set of nuts.
