I am curious as to where the SVO's were made? Also engine assembly plant?

The 2.3 Turbo was manufactured in Lima Ohio my current place of residence lol. I think the cars were assembled in Deerborn Michigan

No, all SVO's were assembled at DAP.

No, all SVO's were assembled at DAP.thanks for the clarification, one of the mustang books I have mentions Nj and Ca assembly but there are lots of errors in the book.

I would have to look up the actual dates when the two other plants were shut down, but yes, originally the Mustangs were produced at San Jose, Metuchen, and DAP.

Couldn't figure out how to edit my previous post...

San Jose closed in 1984, Metuchen (Edison) closed in 2004, and DAP was shut down more recently, but after Mustang production had already moved to Flat Rock.

Dearborn (code F): 1979-1993
San Jose (code R): 1979-mid 1981

Couldn't figure out how to edit my previous post... FYI: The forum software has a setting "Time Limit on Editing of Posts" set to 600 minutes. There is an Edit button available until that time expires [for each post], after that time expires, the Edit button goes away.

The Edit button is just to the left of "Reply" button (wh9ich is ledt of the "Reply With Quote" button). on the bottom border of the post.
