Wanted 90 degree oil filter

Last time I checked you could get them from Ford Racing. M-6880-M22 run under 100 bucks but it makes oil changes a snap. and you can use a FL1A and hold 1/2 qt more oil.

Can it be rotated in any direction? Basically my current filter has gotten rubbed a few times by the steering shaft. I want to make sure it's out of the way of the shaft.

yes it can be rotated in any direction. I know there are a limited amount of places it will fit due to all the other crap in the area though.

Make sure the bolt is long enough to go through the oil cooler. I don't think either of those above have a long enough bolt.

yes it is good to go. It grabs onto the threaded portion an oil filter would normally screw onto.

Vince, i put an XR4 adaptor on my 84 when we rebuilt the motor. I face the oil filter down and back at a 45deg. angle.
Means I just have to reach up behind the front wheel to change the filter. Also leaves plenty of space for my MM steering shaft. The ability to run an FL-1 is an added bonus.
