Anybody have an egr tube that runs from exhaust manifold to the egr valve they are willing to part with?

Thanks

I think all years 84 to 86 are the same tube.

I think all years 84 to 86 are the same tube. They are not the same.

I think all years 84 to 86 are the same tube.

Inlines and square tube intakes require different EGR tubes.

My car is an 84 but I will be installing a NOS E6 manifold but will be keeping the original intake setup The exhaust manifold EGR tube fittings are all in the same location. it's the intake side that varies which tube is needed.

Here are the tubes. The 84 is on top, the 86 is on the bottom.

The 85 is the top 85.5 at the bottom.

The 85 is the top 85.5 at the bottom. More accurately: the correct tube for the in-line intake manifold is on top; the tube for the square intake is on the bottom.

Except for the SVO, ALL 2.3L EFI turbo engines changed to the square intake style in MY 1985.

So just to confuse things, or clarify them, do the 87-88 TC square intakes, the ones with the Ford logo and stripes on the upper, use the same EGR tube as 85.5-86 SVO's because they are less tall right???

Actually they will fit (sort of). it is a pita but it does go. The only way I could get it to fit was to attach it finger tight to the intake EGR then attach it finger tight to the exhaust manifold then bolt the exhaust manifold up. Then tighten the EGR tube. Any other way it would bind and cross thread. Once it heat cycled a few times on the engine it would come on and off easily.

The shorter upper manifold casting on the 87/88 TC (square design) has the attachment point about 0.35" lower than the taller intake on all the other engines. So both will fit, with a wee bit of extra force and care during assembly.

The angle of entry of the tube to the EGR valve between the two manifolds (in0line versus square) is drastically different though.
