Hey guys, its been a while. Lots going on on my SVO front though. The 2R (my other one) is finally done except for a few minor annoyances, principally window run channels which frankly suck trying to get them to stay in the forward channel while tearing all the skin off my arm. Lock actuators and window motors are done. I also rebuilt my first T-5 from soup to nuts using the FMS rebuild kit and a ton of profanity. I needed a few special tools, but it's done and in the car. Nothing happening on the 4E hertz though. I am building an engine to replace the one the seller "sold" Looking for a set of stock pistons and rods, if anyone has a set.

I do have an electronics question. I found a Rotunda (Hickok) EEC-IV monitor which works (well if you call lighting up and beeping working) but is missing the overlays and the manual (detailed). I have the small manual, but not the comprehensive one This is the coolest tool ever, but without the overlays, it is principally useless. Anyone interested in loaning me their 2.3 (non-DIS) and 5.0 SEFI overlays so I can photocopy them? There are a bunch of manuals online but they are for CFI, MECS and FBS, nothing for EFI/SFI. Ironically the guy who sold it to me included a million laminated overlays for the EEC-IV breakout box.

So now I'm just waiting for the spring/summer to come so I can roll the SVOs. I hate you west coast and southern guys;) seriously tho, I hope this post finds you all well.

Jeesh Mike, I thought you of all people would have one of these monitors. All hope is lost now.

I think Neil Cherico had one at one time. I suspect it may have been collected by Patrick. He's on a long trip to the far north just now. I'm sure he'll chime in when he gets back to sunny Southern California and thaws out over a cold beer and a warm bottle of Scotch. Or two.

I would think that either Pat (Milburn or Pearson) in SoCal could help you. For some reason I think I remember Chalky saying he purchsed something online several years ago. I could be wrong & it wouldn't be the first time.

I've got two EEC monitors and an EEC recorder. I have the short version of the manual, but not the big book. I bought these from Neil, and I received all the overlays but the ones that I needed. He said that he would find them and send them to me, but that was 6 or 7 years ago. Mike and Tony rode around Fullerton in my white 86 with the monitor installed on a Knotts weekend several years back. One of the overlays was "close", and not too hard to figure out with help from the charts found in Allan Slocum's EEC-IV Turbo 2.3 diagnostic manual. Our Treasurer Meotchh has that manual available for sale. See the sticky in the Engine section. You could get it in time to put under your non denominational winter solstice Festivus generic floral and lumber display.

Oh screw it. You can have it before Christmas and put in under the Christmas tree. Merry Christmas.

Pat thanks. I pm'ed Mitch about a book for myself. Just wondering if I can trouble you for an example of the overlay that was close. It (the monitor)looks way more confusing than my pea brain can figure out without an example. A nice high res digital image would be much appreciated

jmlay, that helps a bunch, although the overlays would complete the puzzle . I just need to search for my scans of the overlays this weekend and post what I find. The numbers on the rotary switch point to the appropriate number of the ECU pinout as per the Slocum EEC-IV manual and the Ford EVTM.
