Saw this picture online and noticed it had a splash shield on the DS but not on the PS.
Did SVO's get these splash shields on both sides?

How about none on an 84? :p

I don't recall any on my 84, but that was almost 30 years ago and I've slept since then. I can easily see it as something that would quickly get added to the Spare Parts Box.

I'll be curious to hear what other owners, esp original owners have found.
Heading to the garage....... promise. ;)

I dont think there is one on my '84.
The one on my '88 is torn most of the way off and flapping in the wind while going down the road.

Have one on my 84SVO (drivers side) My 88 LX, 93LX, & 93 Cobra all have one on each side.

Interesting, my 83 TBird has them on both sides and they have survived 130,000+ miles.
Logic would have you believe the SVO would have them on both sides but who know  until we see low mileage original cars.
It seems like a good item to have if the car is a driver in a rainy environment.

You could always add one. Plenty around in salvage yards and I think either NPD or Late Model had replacements.

I'm thinking about adding both sides as it seems like they should help keep things a bit cleaner.
I checked around and didn't find any repros but will hunt for some in junkyards when spring arrives.
Unfortunately not a lot of Fox stuff in the yards around me and what is there is usually picked clean.

I believe they are the same on the SN cars (94-98) usually plenty of them around.

Mines a 86 but they are both there. Interesting fact, new GT500's only have one on DS.

A little off topic (ok... way off topic, but close proximity in the picture :)) Where did you get the end links on your sway bar? Appear to be aftermarket bolts and bushings.

And off topic...what springs are those?

Sorry guys, can't answer either question since the car in the picture isn't mine. :(
My car doesn't have said splash shields so I had to use a picture from my reference library.
I am looking for new springs and may need new end links so maybe I'll be able to answer the question in time. ;)

We found an '82 GLX in the junkyard a month ago that I was grabbing the wheel well splash shields from and still had both of these on it so we grabbed them too!
Oh, Energy Suspension sells aftermarket end links. I just picked up a poly bushing set in black for our '79. They are available in red too I think.

Good score at the junkyard. Something I'll be looking for. Unfortunately not many Fox bodies in my local yards anymore.

Good find!
Looks like a "correct" battery hold down and bolt too! The kits from NPD and FMR are not concours correct.

I did grab that too! I needed one for my son's 79 because the original had been "modified". They don't really seem in short supply in the junkyards from what I have seen.
With my SVO still in storage, I may put the splash shields on it if they are missing...sorry son :)
