SDS system vrs megasquirt

A question. I have a SDS system from Bob's old track car that he crunched. I now also have an opportunity to pick up a new Megasquirt 3.0 system with harness for a good price. Is there any big reason I should get rid of the SDS setup and replace it with the Megasquirt 3.0. I am not fluent in either system. Your thoughts please.

I don't know about the SDS system but the Megasquirt is very well supported and easy to learn.
