I am guessing that sheriff is not anticipating any pursuits, high speed or otherwise.

I am guessing that sheriff is not anticipating any pursuits, high speed or otherwise. The actual "need" for high-speed chases went away about 30 years ago. Today they use radios, helicopters and road blocks.

In any case, that's the first COP car Prius I've seen - so the world must be coming to an end soon.

I doubt that any police department would justify the high cost of a volt.

I'm sure NYC's new mayor will tax the hell out of everything to pay for them, and maybe they could call the Prez to get a bailout to help Govt Motors out by buying a fleet?

They need to start putting flow masters and Pep Boys specials on the police cars then
