Mustang 50th Anniversary Show & Cruise Phoenix/Scottsdale Az

I just talked to Steve Wingenfeld from Hagerty who is heading up the 50th Anniversary Show & Cruise in Phx/Scottsdale.
He still needs a 79, 80, 81, 82, 85, & an 86, plus a couple of Mustang IIs to complete his roster of one Mustang to represent every year from 1964-2014.
He said the car does not have to be show quality, but he prefers them to be somewhat stock looking.

He accepted my 84 (daily driver) SVO which has Bullitt wheels & is far from being show quality to represent the 84 Mustangs.

Come Join us and Celebrate the Mustang 50th Anniversary Show at the Martin Auto Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. The Show will consist of 51 Mustangs (1 each from 1964-2014), this would be the first time ever that 51 Mustangs from each model year would be on displayed in a continuous row. We will be looking for mostly stock mustangs with a couple of Shelby, Boss, and Mach 1’s mixed in. Owners will submit a couple photos of their Mustang and then a committee would select the best entries from each year; priority will go to earliest entry. General Public welcome to view Mustangs, Museum entry is $5 donation.

Very cool Ron! Be sure to post some pics of the event. I know there is some sort of parade going on somewhere in OR the weekend before Vegas. Hopefully we can get some pics from people attending that as well.

The show starts at the Martin Museum and then ends at the Pavilions car show that night. I met Steve today at the "Detroit Muscle" car show at Sanderson Ford in Glendale, AZ and he asked me to be the 86. I still need approval from wife to spend the entire day and night doing that...

Hey Chuck, that is great. We didn't get a chance to met at the Sanderson Ford Show, but hopefully we will at this 50th celebration, since your 86 will only be two slots down from my 84.

Unacceptable Chuck!.........We have our 3 year old granddaughter all the time & she has been attending car cruises/shows with us since she was only 15 months old.
No doubt, I am blessed to have a woman who loves old cars as much as I do, it makes all the difference.
It definitely boosted her interest when I bought the white 88 Turbo Coupe for her. She fell in love with it & immediately sold her Chrysler 300M. It is now her daily driver.

OK.........I'll ban myself for a little while for being contrary with another member.

It was a great time at the 50th celebration in Phoenix Saturday.
Every year was represented from 1964 through 2014 except two years of Mustang IIs and most of the 79-86 foureyes.
The only foureyes there were a Bondurant 83 coupe converted to an aero, my 84 SVO & an 86 SVO. So actually there wasn't a single Fox body with four eyes.

I believe they were in the staging lanes & is apparent the Camaro was given 1 length to make it an even race.

I tried to crop the other cars out, but would have had to crop my baby's head out in order to get rid of the Camaro sticker.

You need to spend more time with PhotoShop. Then you can graft her driving into this years Monaco GP starting grid, next to the pole sitter Lewis Hamilton.
