It's in Tulsa, OK this year and we are trying to move it around so more people can attend.
The first was in St. Louis, MO; the second in Bristol, TN. Attendance has been good and we hope to keep this going.

Isn't that a long way from home for you? You'll probably need a passport and Visa.

I made it to St. Louis and back without getting lost so I think I can handle this, it's only 500 miles farther.
The issue is I don't like to fly, maybe almost 25 years at Pratt & Whitney has something to do with that???
I might get lucky and get a plane with GE engines...lol
No passport and I already have a Master Card. :p
I'm more worried about CT letting me back in with my 'red state' opinions and their 'blue state' attitudes. ;)

This should be a good event and I thought about trying to coordinate this as a SVOCOP event. My schedule is going to be the big challenge. Engine Masters is the same week and we are currently scheduled to run on Wednesday.

I am currently trying to make the trip possible-work cooperation/co driver needed! Too long a drive for one day by my self!

Bruce, that would be great if you could attend with some of the other SVOCOPers. Hopefully Doug can be your co-driver.
Raven, PM me your phone number and I'll give you a call when I get to Tulsa, I'm flying in on Thursday and out Sunday.
I would like to meet some of you guys, I don't know if I'll ever make it any farther west...

OK, it looks like my wife wants to go to Tulsa in October for some strange reason. Soooo . . .

SVOCOP will show up with a couple cars. Mild mod or stock, but we will be there with Tony and Pat.

SVOCOP will also offer up as contingency, a new SVOCOP Stainless Steel replacement oil line to one person entered with a stock configuration placement turbo.

If you want an SVOCOP Tee shirt delivered and save the shipping charges, contact Meotchh, our treasurer via PM here in advance to arrange payment so that I can deliver them.

See you in Tulsa in October!

I have met TurboRay out in California and look forward to meeting you and the rest of the group. It sounds like we will be getting into Tulsa about the same time. I am on a Engine Masters Team and we are on the dyno Wednesday. If we do well, we will be back on the dyno Thursday. Not knowing how well we stack up againest the competition has kept me from committing to anything. I will send you a PM with Phone Numbers. I thought about leaving the keys to the 1B for Shannon in case I got delayed. Maybe he could drop in a Pimp and get the current upgrades ironed out.

Tony, I'm looking forward to meeting you and Pat and maybe some other SVOCOP members.
Are you going to be racing or spectating? I would like to add you guys to the list(s) in the 'race thread' on TF.
Good luck in the engine challenge!

Thanks Paul! You and I can talk later on and figure out what to do about the TF lists. I will have 3 cars available and lets see what the drivers want to do. Pat will be driving one of them, the 7B so that one should be easy to figure out. Its completely stock. I will have the 4E available, again completely stock, for possibly Doug to drive. Its a good 50 footer but needs some love. I will have the 1B hopefully if I can finish the current modifications. If I can finish up some items I will take it down the track. I have an Esslinger head here, maybe I should throw that on it to make Brian Happy, lol....

Sounds like fun Paul, but it's not in the cards for me. I really appreciate the offer though.

Tulsa was good, TNT was rained out Friday but we dodged the rain Saturday and got to race. I believe we had ~19-20 cars that competed.
I met Pat, Tony, and Bruce and we all participated in the race, had a great time hanging out and BSing.
Pat did well, 2nd place in the bracket class with Tony's SVO AND got the long distance driven plaque with Tony's car. :)

My apologies 'Oh great RED one'. :(
In the first TF results post there are links to Stinger's videos, pictures, and a link to my PhotoBucket album.
I'm working on getting all my pics labeled and have about half of them done.
I will now ban myself until my next post. :)
btw: the next round is on Patrick...;)

Joe, here is a link to the 'results' thread I posted on TF. There are links in the first post to more pics and Shannon (Stinger) video taped the time trials, qualifying, and the race.

http://forum.turboford.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=000724

I have more pics coming from a TF member, I'll get them sorted and available for viewing asap.

Check out who was runner up in the bracket class. ;)
