Saturday afternoon/evening is the Pavillions car show in Scottsdale (http://www.arizonaautoscene.com/events/rock-roll-car-show-2014-04-12). Runs every Saturday year round for the past 25 years or so. Always an interesting mix of vehicles.

Pima Air Museum in Tucson (http://www.pimaair.org/) would be a couple hours from Litchfield, AZ. Don't be fooled by the miles as I-10 is mostly 75 mph speed limit. You could even possibly spot a red SVO down there.

The red rocks of Sedona, AZ are beautiful with plenty of hiking.

In the Phoenix area, you can hike South Mountain and Camelback Mountain.

If you are going to be in AZ until the 3rd of May there is a Viet Nam Veteran's benefit cruise/car show
to the world zoo & aquarium on the 3rd of May.

Also the Mixteca Cruise every Friday/Saturday Evening at 67th Ave & Bell Rd Peoria Az........I prefer it to the Pavilions Cruise in Scottsdale, plus it is a lot closer to Litchfield Park.

The family and I had a great time in Arizona.
We stayed at the Wigwam resort. A great place to vacation.

Got in a few places that were mentioned -Sedona - Old town Scottsdale - couple of museums - cars and coffee

I tried to talk the girls into a five hour ride to Vegas but i couldn't guarantee that there was a pool as nice as the one at the Wigwam.

Ahh yes, the WigWam is pretty nice. You would not have been happy with the Mustang 50th in Vegas. Sedona was a better choice. I highly recommend going to Sedona in December. The weather is still nice & the light shows in town are pretty cool.

Caught this one a bit late. I would have recommended a visit to the Bumble Bee Ranch (http://www.bumblebeeranch.com/) for some trail riding or a desert 4x4 adventure. Did that many moons ago and had a great time. Our trail tour guide turned out to be the ranch's owner and she even had to shag some guys off the ranch that were illegally panning for gold. A drawn rifle across the saddle helped persuade them to 'move along' rather quickly. Not sure if that was staged, but certainly added a facet to a cool horse ride. Another place is the cruise night at Fountain Hills that Mark Haas introduced me to. Glad you had a good time.
