Alternator help

Does anyone know if you can still get a motorcraft alternator or can you recommend a good after market one? I have been searching the site all evening and really haven't found anything posted about the alternator. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Rockauto has some Motorcraft alternators listed.

National Parts Depot (NPD) shows them in their FOX Mustang catalog also. And I have seen them on e bay

I just checked my contact over at B&I (motocraft distributor) they still have alts in stock(remanufacured). by definition yes they are still available in red box form.

Thanks everyone. I found a local shop through a coworker that can rebuild it. I should have it back tomorrow. I'm happy I get to keep the original part. I will let you know how it turns out. He tells me their the best around our area. Thanks again

Even better if you can keep your original. :) I had the alternator rebuilt on my 83 TBird in the 90's and was amazed how nice the shop did. They tumbled the case and everything looked brand new.

received the alternator back the other day, the shop did an excellent job! they were going to make the case look like brand new, I asked them to not do anything to the case I wanted to stay with the 30 year old look...HAHA
