Hello Everone, I'm just looking at this first junction on the Main Harness. The yellow eyelet connects to the Starter Solenoid.

My job is to find out which of those wires might be powering a short in the harness.

The question is, if I take apart that large rubber cylinder what will I find? Just a very large splice? If I have to rebuild it, will it be ... daunting?

My other option that I'm mulling over is to take out those fusible links and set up a Fuse box with Maxi Fuses.

Please advise.

well, its in the black-orange line. I've isolated it that far at the cost of cutting each of those wires.

Anyone have any views on replacing fusible links with fuses? They are 16-20amp, and Maxi doesn't go down that far. What are the slow burn fuses in that amperage?
