Fixing fail codes?

I have an 1986 svo that is closing in on the final stages to get smogged and back on the road,

Today I ran the code reader through to figure out what final fixes I need and I kept coming up with code 34, - egr valve not opening properly/insufficient egr flow or Evp voltage high or pfe sensor high or out of spec.

Do I just replace the valve or is there a better fix?

I also failed my original smog attempt on the visual do to not having properly "rated" hoses for both my carbon canister to air filter and for my turbo to valve cover breather. Where can I find the appropriate hoses?

Running a PE or LA3 EEC?

Code 34 is a KPER result and there can be several reasons for it to trigger. If e enigne is idling hot and you manually open the EGR valve, does the idle get rough? You can stick a little finger into the open side and push on the diaphragm to open it.

Next does the valve open when vacuum is applied to it? 6" Hg is enough to test that.

Third is there vacuum present to the valve coming through the solenoid and associated plumbing when the engine is hot and throttle is raised to ~2500 RPM? There should be enough ot open the valve.
