Exhaust Manifold and Intake Manifold bolts

I was thinking about calling up Fasten-all and ordering these bolts does anyone have the length and thread pitch of them? Thanks!

For the turbo E3/E6 exhaust manifolds to the head the "bolt" spec are 10x1.5mm x 55mm. For the early engines all had 17mm hex heads on them; later engines used a 15mm hex head with integrated washer. For the SVO four of the bolts are studs, with 10x1.5mm exposed threads on the outside of the hex head where the oil line support and charge cooler bracket mounts. Non-SVOs used seven bolts and one bolt/stud.

The issue you will encounter is with the heat rating of available bolts. Ford used an air-hardening tool steel to handle the ~400F peak temps in the head itself and the ~1600 F temps on the outside of the manifold. "Normal" metric rated bolts are only good to a max of 500 F.

Ford also used a mechanical thread locking design in the bolt thread.

304 SS will handle the temps but it's nowhere near as strong as the original bolts.

From my previous searches for this critters, expect to pay $4-6/US each in qntys of 100.

Well that is unfortunate. I have an e6 I would like to put on my car and I know some of those bolts are going to break.

Your trusty Ford dealer probably still stocks the bolts - they're used on other vehicles afaik. However the studs will be harder to get, I suspect.

The 4 studs that attache the turbo (turbine housing) to an E6 manifold are 10mm x 1.5 x 45mm. My Ford guy can't find them, and if he could I was quoted $22. Each!

Ok I have been here before. Cummins sells studs but they are only the short ones for the top and they are not cheep. I am considering GAL-4V titanium studs any one ever consider these?
