OK I bought the single hook quadrant and firewall adjuster years ago and to take up enough slack I had to put washers behind the cable after adjusting all the way out. I have the motor out and would like to get the adjuster further into the firewall. Are there any suggestions for accomplishing this? I bought a Steeda double hook quadrant recently thinking I would get a shorter cable with more hooks but it would be looser not tighter?
