If I am running other than stock boost control (bleed valve) can I just unplug the module on the PS strut tower and remove it?

There is no "module" on the 86 SVO.
There is a Boost Control Solenoid, with a 2-wire electrical connector and two hoses to it. If the hoses are no longer connected to the turbo and wastegate diaphragm, it does not matter if it's connected or not. Will not make any difference in how it runs.

If this wasn't part of the boost control what is it and do I need it with a pimp system?

That's a BP - Barometric Pressure sensor.
I do not know if the PiMP uses a BAP in addition to a MAP. That should be in the documentation

No worries, Mate.
You can also ping Stinger here and on www.turboford.net (shameless plug for Paul!). He's very helpful and knowledgeable.

Just for the record Stinger said to unplug it from the system.
